ACCOMMODATION
Leeds is obviously a large city with a huge choice of accommodation. You
might find it useful to have a look at the following web site, to which
visitors have added comments on the various establishments they have stayed
at:
www.tripadvisor.com
You
might also like to know that the concert venue is also an examination
centre, and the examiners often stay at the Ascot Grange hotel, which is
straight
up the main road from the College, and about a 15 minute brisk walk. Their
web site is as below:
www.leeds-headingleyhotels.com
If you fancy staying somewhere which is a bit out of the ordinary, what
about a farm in the middle of the countryside?! It’s about
10 miles from the college, has a double room and a single which both share
a bathroom, and the owners are full of Yorkshire hospitality. There’s
no web site, but to see where it’s situated, type “Lindley
Otley West Yorkshire” into Google Earth. Their twin room is £50
B&B - if you’re interested, give Adrian or Jeanette a call on
01943 464010.
Just one final point, as you might expect with a large city, there are
some areas which you might prefer to avoid. If you have a particular
hotel in mind and want to check with me as to whether the location falls
into this
category or not, feel free to send me a PM.
