HOW TO APPLY
Eligibility
Only members of the ABRSM forum will be eligible to perform in
the concert and you will be asked to confirm your forum ID.
Members must be over 14 years of age by the date of the concert in order
to apply for a solo slot. Members who are under 14 years may be able
to take part in some of the ensembles, subject to numbers. Members
and their families of all ages are welcome to attend as the audience.
Anybody attending the concert, either as performer or audience, who is
under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult (not necessarily
a
parent) at all times.
Type of slot
Members are invited to apply to play solo, or in duets,
trios or small ensembles.
There will also be a recorder consort, string ensemble,
choir, jazz band and grand finale orchestra.

Acknowledgements that your application form and fee have been received will
be sent via PM. THIS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WILL ACT AS YOUR “ENTRANCE
TICKET” TO THE COLLEGE ON THE DAY - PLEASE PRINT IT OUT AND
BRING IT WITH YOU. If you forget to bring it, for security reasons
you may not be allowed into the college. If you do not receive an acknowledgement
within 7 days of sending your application form, please contact Skylark.
Fees
The fee payable by performers is £14, irrespective of whether you play solo
or ensembles, and irrespective of how many ensembles you play in.
There will be no fee payable by piano accompanists who do not also perform
solo. An application form still needs to be completed.
The fee for visitors is £5.
Any proceeds will go to The
Yorkshire College of Music & Drama, which
is a charitable trust.
Performers’ fees must be sent with the application form. If you
are not sure if anyone else is coming with you, you can delay paying “visitor” fees
until the closing date, but all fees must be paid by then.
Closing date
Applications to perform should be made as soon as possible as slots may be limited, but in any event by Monday 30 April.
